Venue: At Kaikorai school on Mondays and Tuesdays during the day.
Note: These classes are exclusively for Kaikorai School students.

Meet the tutors
Guthrie Wakelin
Guthrie joined Dynamite Music in 2023 and also teaches lessons at Tainui Primary School.
Guthrie has had music lessons since the age of 6 and is very well rounded musically – playing piano, violin, bass guitar, and guitar at a performance level.
He is in his first year of music school at Otago this year studying with subjects in performance and composition.
Outside of music, Guthrie also has an interest in horticulture.
Teddy Finney Waters
Teddy has joined the team in 2024 and is in his first year at Otago university, studying law and performance voice.
Despite his young age, he has accumulated a large number of accolades, including ‘Best All Round Boy’ in his final year at Boys’ High, and being the NZ Secondary School Choir leader in 2023.
Teddy has a natural enthusiasm for music and people and is an excellent first teacher for beginners starting their piano journey.
Nuts and Bolts
If you are a new student, your first lesson is a free trial. You’ll then have the option to keep your time for the rest of the term (and every term after that for as long as you continue with us).
